Civic Storytelling in Action
Every video, live stream, campaign, and story is created to help residents better understand what is happening across Baltimore. We make City programs, services, events, and initiatives easier to see, follow, and share.
Through civic storytelling and creative public messaging, we help connect residents to the information, resources, and community work that shape daily life in Baltimore.
History
More than 20 years of connecting residents to City information.
Built on public access. Grown through Baltimore stories.
The Mayor’s Office of Cable and Communications was established by Executive Order to support Baltimore City’s cable, audio/visual, and broadcast media work. For more than two decades, the office has helped residents access public meetings, City information, and local government coverage.
In 2014, Baltimore’s Channel 25 was relaunched as CharmTV, bringing a fresh look and a wider storytelling focus to the station. The goal was to keep public access at the center while sharing more stories about Baltimore’s neighborhoods, people, programs, and culture.
Today, CharmTV continues that work on cable, online, and across digital platforms through live coverage, public affairs programming, civic campaigns, original shows, and community stories.
